Welcome to our Events page. On this page, you are able to view and sign up for events and volunteer opportunities. Please note that ALL volunteer opportunities (except the Thanksgiving Day of Service) require that you sign up for a specific SERVE training. Click the event image to register.

NEW Guest and Member Services Groups

BBFC Small Groups is pleased to announce the addition of two new service teams: Member Services and Guest Services. These teams will serve in the areas of Guest Fellowship for our first-time guests, and Bereavement Care BBFC Member families, respectively. Training is required to serve on one of these teams, and will be offered as a part of our SERVE model. Day of Thanksgiving Through Service

Join us Wednesday, November 21st for our 2nd Annual Day of Thanksgiving Through Service at Metropolitan Ministries. Each volunteer commitment is 3 hours, and shifts begin as early at 6am. Students in grades 6-12 are welcome to volunteer, if accompanied by a parent or trusted adult. Slots are limited, so click the event image to register today!


The Experience, 2018

"The Experience” is our annual family holiday event for families in need. The experience involves, in addition to a holiday meal package for each family: parking lot assistance, personal shoppers, an inside café, toys and gift wrapping, live music, and crafts for the kids.

In order for this event to be a success, volunteers are needed.   Volunteer to serve on Friday, December 21st and/or Saturday, December 22nd.  All volunteers must attend SERVE training on Saturday, December 15th. Click the event image to register for the SERVE training today!

Love Beyond Bars Workshop

"Love Beyond Bars” is a workshop designed for families and friends of inmates, as well as former inmates around the Tampa Bay area. The event will be facilitated by various individuals and organizations within the community who are involved with and/or knowledgeable of the Florida correctional system, as well as individuals with backgrounds in counseling.The primary aim of the event is to educate and empower families to support their incarcerated loved ones throughout and after the period of incarceration

This is a FREE workshop, but registration is required. Registration inculdes FREE transportation from the University Area Community Development Center (UACDC), breakfast, lunch, and all workshop materials. Free childcare will also be provided. Click the event image to register for this event today!
