2020 Global Missions Trip | Brazil

The challenge we have for the year 2020 is to bring the knowledge of the true God to the descendants of one of the first peoples who inhabited South America. The Krahô Indians still have faith in the things created by our God like the sun and moon. Today the Krahô Indians are a civilized people, but lacking humanitarian aid. They want to study, they want to acquire professions, they need medicine, transportation, communication with the city and especially, they need to know GOD'S LOVE.

Of the 38 tribes in the far north of Tocantins (Palmas), one is already completely accessible to the gospel, but our challenge lies in the other 37 extremely needy communities in everything!

Travel information will be provided after the ticket prices have been secured.

Mandatory Items/Participation Requirements:

  1. Review the entire Short-Term Mission packet.

  2. Complete and submit the following forms by the dates indicated.

    • Short Term Mission Application (January 18, 2020)

    • Physician Statement of Health (June 15, 2020)

    • Release and Assumption of Risk and Liability (June 15, 2020)

  3. Obtain a valid passport. It Must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip. Go to U.S. Passport News for further questions.

  4. Submit $260 deposit (non-refundable).

  5. Keep abreast of other deadlines for financial deposits. All payments are due on or before the 15th of the month. Payments may be made online or via text with Brazil noted after the amount (i.e. $260.00 Brazil).

  6. Make sure your immunizations are up to date. No special shots are required; however, you may check the list of recommended vaccines through the CDC Health Information for Travelers.

  7. Register with the State Department through the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program before leaving the Unites States. They will contact you in case of any emergency.
